CHAPTER HOUSE is an independent, narrative-driven concept store and curatorial platform based in Leiden, the Netherlands. We bring together artists, makers, writers, and curious minds through thoughtfully curated thematic chapters.
We welcome rolling submissions from independent artists around the world. We're always interested in discovering new voices and exploring how their work might connect with a future chapter. If we see a potential connection, we'll get in touch to explore the possibility of working together.

We champion independent artists and want them to retain their independence, so our artist partnerships are straightforward.
Our standard partnerships are non-exclusive. We also offer partnership options with exclusivity, where mutually agreed. Any exclusivity terms will be discussed clearly before a collaboration begins.
Art is the Antidote
The things we surround ourselves with tell our story & reflect our soul. We aim to make authentic and original art as accessible as possible to everyone, because art is vital and the antidote to mass-produced slop.

We believe in the power of community and aim to create a place of intentionality, originality, and meaningfulness for artists and art lovers alike. Over time, we hope to build a creative community to inspire and uplift others to turn their personal craft into a sustainable livelihood.
Art Submissions
We welcome rolling submissions from independent artists worldwide (18+), working in contemporary art.
The mediums we accept are: drawing, erasure poetry, fiber art, handmade collage, illustration, mixed-media, painting, photography, poetry, printmaking.
How It Works
We review artist websites and Instagram portfolios only. Submit your website and/or IG portfolio using the form, no physical or emailed digital files, please! If the general feeling of your body of work fits an upcoming “chapter” (exhibition) – we’ll contact you with next steps.

We do not feature AI-generated work, NFTs, or any imagery that infringes on copyright.

Independent artists aged 18 and over from anywhere in the world can submit their work, provided it falls within our accepted creative mediums and mandates.

We currently accept drawing, erasure poetry, fiber art, handmade collage, illustration, mixed media, painting, photography, poetry, and printmaking.

Nope! You don't need to be represented by a gallery or agent to submit. We welcome independent artists and writers with a clear body of work and an online portfolio that helps us understand their practice.

Yes! We welcome submissions from independent artists worldwide.

NO. We don't feature AI-generated work, NFTs, or imagery that infringes on copyright. We are dedicated to authentic and original handmade art.

No. Please submit links to your artist website and/or Instagram portfolio through our submission form. We currently don't accept physical artwork or digital files by email due to storage capacity.

No. We review submissions to identify artists whose work may be a fit for a current or future thematic chapter. We'll contact you via email if we'd like to explore a collaboration.

Contributing to the livelihoods of artists is a core pillar of our work, which is why all of our partnerships include profit sharing. We have a sliding scale depending on exclusivity and/or limited edition prints.
